Erin Caves has earned a reputation for his dynamic interpretations of leading Wagner tenor roles such as Tristan in Tristan und Isolde, which he performed at Staatsoper Stuttgart, Opéra National de Bordeaux, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos Lisbon, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, La Monnaie De Munt Brussels, and a prize winning performance at the Suntory Hall Tokyo.

HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights for American tenor Erin Caves include:
– his theater debut in April 2022, at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall (Müpa) in Budapest, singing the tenor role in Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, a role he had previously sang at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the (KKL) Luzern, the Opernhaus Zürich and is scheduled to sing this summer of 2022 during the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks in Toblach.
– in 2021 with Opera North in the role of Don José in Carmen under the baton of Garry Walker,
– his role debut as Siegfried in Wagner’s Götterdämmerung at Biwako Hall in Otsu, Japan, concluding Michael Hampe’s Ring Cycle under the baton of Ryusuke Numajiri and released in 2020 on DVD
– his theater debut with Florestan in Beethoven’s Fidelio at the National Opera in Prague and at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna under the baton of Asher Fisch in 2019
– his role debut in 2018 as Parsifal in Wagner’s Parsifal at the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp under the baton of Cornelius Meister, a role that he sang also in Teatro Nacional de São Carlos Lisbon and Coliseu Porto Ageas
– his theater debut in 2017 at the Teatro alla Scala as Walther in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg conducted by Daniele Gatti
– his role debut in 2014 at the Stuttgart Oper as Tristan in Tristan and Isolde under the baton of Sylbain Cambreling, a role he has since performed at Opéra National de Bordeaux, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos Lisbon, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, La Monnaie De Munt Brussels and a prize winning performance at the Suntory Hall Tokyo
